Carlisle Lake District Airport
Carlisle Lake District Airport is a very small airport just north of Carlisle in Cumbria. Also owned by Stobart Group, the airport is expected to become the first in Cumbria to offer passenger flights in the near future.
The typography and colour palette of the logo ties in with London Southend Airport's branding while also reflecting the airport's Cumbrian location. The three colours of the C shape device represents the fells, lakes and sky. Subtle use of negative space is used to create the shape of the C.
To support the logo a style guide was also created which explained how the logo can be used across various media. A two line version of the logo was also created for use on long signs or banners and a slightly bolder version for embroidery on uniforms.
